Filip Genov is a senior banker with 20+ years of executive experience in Bulgaria, Italy and the countries of Eastern Europe.
He leads UniCredit Bulbank’s Special Projects Team and is member of the bank’s Investment Committee. He initiated and currently manages bank’s entry into the equity investment and startup financing business.
Filip is the first Eastern European manager to be elected to the Executive Committee of the Factors Chain International, being responsible for the R&D and innovations.
In Bulgaria he created and managed the corporate banking, SME and factoring businesses of UniCredit Bulbank.
Filip is also an avid supporter, business angel, mentor and investor in startups of young entrepreneurs. He voluntarily serves on the Board of Directors of the Cedar Foundation, which gives disadvantaged people in Bulgaria a better quality of medical care and living conditions.
Filip holds an MBA degree from the London School of Economics and New York University’s Stern School of Business.
